THE LONELINESS OF CEO IN A MAJOR ECONOMIC STORM

THE LONELINESS OF CEO IN A MAJOR ECONOMIC STORM: AN EMOTIONAL PICTURE THAT'S NEVER BEEN PAINTED

In 2023, the global economy experienced significant fluctuations. Despite some improvements, the pace of trade expansion remained below average due to the severe impact of conflicts in Ukraine, persistent high inflation, tightened monetary policies, and financial instability.

Businesses in the agricultural sector faced their own set of challenges. In Vietnam, the level of support for agricultural enterprises was low, agricultural insurance policies were not adequately addressed, and there were barriers to exporting to high-end markets.

In the face of such an economic storm, the pressure on the shoulders of business owners has grown even greater. CEOs, who already faced loneliness, now find their "emotional black hole" expanding.

Loneliness is particularly evident at the top. For business people and leaders, loneliness represents solitude on their journey, without companionship or someone to share with, often unable to see the bigger picture.

According to a Harvard Business report, 50% of CEOs admit to feeling lonely in their work, with 61% of them believing that loneliness hinders their effectiveness.

With a deep understanding of this issue, Avanta has emerged to share value and accompany business owners not only on the path to elevating Vietnam's agricultural products but also in guiding leaders through transformation and self-healing.
